About Our Team

Brenda Hicks

Brenda is a senior law clerk. Brenda has extensive experience in personal injury matters, especially motor vehicle claims and Statutory Accident Benefit disputes. She oversees our accident benefit department including all matters involving the LAT dispute resolution process.

Brenda also provides litigation support including overseeing our discovery and undertaking process, preparation of mediation and pre-trial memos, preparation of claims and review of client documentation including medical records.

Kelly Yorke

Kelly is a senior law clerk assisting our clients with all matters in relation to their claim against the at fault party. Kelly plays a key role in preparing our files for settlement mediations and all aspects of trial preparation.

Patricia Brenner

Patricia is a legal secretary. Patricia's primary role is document management and support for our Accident Benefits team. Patricia ensures that all documents, including court records, letters and medical records are scanned and organized in the client's file.

Janice Deutschmann

Janice is the firm's marketing manager. Janice is an Honours Business graduate from Wilfrid Laurier University and spent several years in marketing in the consumer packaged goods industry. Janice coordinates all aspects of the firm's advertising and marketing over a variety of media, including traditional (television, radio and newspaper) and internet. Janice also works with outside companies providing marketing services to the firm.

The firm is also very active in participating in various community events including support for local brain injury and spinal cord organizations. The firm coordinates and sponsors an annual helmet program providing bike helmets to children at a participating local elementary school.

 

Jasmine Herr

Jasmine is an accident benefits clerk. She assists our clients in dealing with their motor vehicle insurer. Jasmine helps our clients get access to their Statutory Accident Benefits including medical and rehabilitation benefits and income benefits. Jasmine will assist in all aspects of our clients' accident benefits, including the resolution of any disputes through the Licencing Appeals Tribunal (LAT).

Kristina Coi

Kristina is a senior law clerk in the litigation department helping to advance our clients' claims for compensation. Kristina also provides some support in accident benefits. Kristina has spent over 15 years in the legal field, developing her skills predominantly in personal injury litigation. Kristina has been awarded the designation of Expert in Litigation from the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario. Kristina has strong communication, drafting and editorial skills. In her free time Kristina enjoys writing fiction and is a published author.

Samantha Scott

After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree in political science at the University of Western Ontario, Samantha attended Humber College where she graduated with honours from the law clerk program.

Samantha has over 10 years’ experience working in the area of personal injury litigation with an emphasis on legal drafting and document analysis. Her experience in this field has been split evenly between plaintiff and insurance defense work, giving her comprehensive understanding of the litigation process.
