Chronic pain is a problem in Canada. Up to 20% of adults now deal with pain regularly. The pain is often a result of degenerative conditions like arthritis, which can be caused by injuries from car accidents, other accidents, sports or overuse. Infections and inflammation of these injuries can worsen pain.

Who Is Using CBD Oil?

Many Canadians have been using CBD oil for years now to control pain. From 80-year-olds who have exhausted all other forms of pain control to younger individuals with chronic pain. As with all treatments results from person to person vary, but it has become clear that CBD oil is another tool in the box for the treatment of chronic pain.

What Are the Advantages of CBD Oil?

CBD oil is a good option to try for pain as it is not addictive, and you don’t develop a tolerance for it either. Opioids that provide significant strong pain relief come with many side effects including addiction, tolerance to medication requiring increasingly higher doses, cognitive and physical side effects, and ultimately they do nothing to address the cause of the pain.

The scientific and clinical evidence has shown that CBD is effective in pain relief for many Canadians. Prescriptions by doctors are written daily for patients who can benefit from the inflammation-reducing qualities of CBD.

How Does CBD Work?

CBD interacts with proteins in your body and with the central nervous system in your brain and in your immune system. It inhibits the absorption of molecules that regulate pain. In conjunction with its impacts on feelings of well-being and reducing the pain signals it helps to reduce the feelings of pain.

It also helps to control inflammation and the awareness of pain-reducing the sensitivity of people with rheumatoid arthritis to the pain signals their body is sending to the brain. It is also used for chronic back pain, degenerative disc pain and many other inflammatory diseases.

Can CBD Oil Work On Muscle Pain?

Topical treatment for muscle spasms, pulled muscles or arthritis can be very effective and the CBD is easily and quickly absorbed through the skin.

CBD Oil for Nerve Pain

The sublingual use of CBD oil has been effective for many patients suffering from neuropathic pain.

If you are suffering in pain please speak with your family doctor who can prescribe the correct form of CBD oil for you in the correct quantity. If they aren’t experts in CBD they can refer you to practitioners who are.
