Supreme Court Rules Against Disability Benefits for Paraplegic
It was recently reported in the news media that a B.C. man lost his insurance battle for long term disability benefits because herpes rendered him parapalegic. The Supreme Court of Canada ruled Friday that a B.C. man was not entitled to $200,000 in disability insurance for being rendered paraplegic after having unprotected sex. The incident was not considered an "accident" under the policy.
